SCOPE
1.1.This specification covers the general requirements for the smooth-tread standard tire for pavement testing.
The tire covered by this specification is intended for evaluation of tire-pavement friction.
1.2.The terminology in this specification is consistent with ASTM E 867.
1.3.The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard.
1.4.This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment.
